The Role:
We are looking for a talented Business Development professional to focus on strategic partnerships at Backpack. You will own each stage of the business development process, including early relationship building and finalization of deal structures, and will be actively involved in execution of inbound and outbound leads. Your work will be instrumental to identifying potential opportunities across the industry and long-term partners for Backpack.
You will be:
- Managing, evaluating, and triaging relationships with inbound leads
- Conducting strategic outbound activities, initiating touchpoints with important prospects
- Sourcing, identifying and proactively pursuing promising opportunities
- Cultivating and developing expertise on crypto-native segments
- Working with various internal teams to support our partner projects, such as helping them fundraise, locating market makers, collaborate with various local marketing partners
- Driving complex deal contract negotiations
You are:
- Excited about Backpack, web3, and crypto
- Have 4+ years of experience in business development roles in the web3 industry
- Bonus points for experience at VC firms
- Able to assess projects on a substantive level, and able to identify potential partner’s pain points and leveraging resources to help them
- Have a passion for execution
- Excellent at communication and relationship building
- Native English speaker
- Based in either US or UK
- Preferably have 1+ years of experience outside of the web3 industry.
